As a licensed mental health counselor associate, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization & reprocessing) therapist, Sarah has had many opportunities to serve a variety of populations and help clients overcome both personal and professional challenges. Sarah has a passion for helping teens and adults develop coping skills to manage their life stressors. Sarah has had significant therapeutic experience working with clients experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, anger, and grief and loss. Sarah believes in meeting the client at their level and providing the support to help the client reach their goals. Sarah utilizes different therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and interpersonal techniques to help make the counseling sessions effective for the client. Sarah is very passionate about her clients and provides a safe, calming environment to help build the therapeutic relationship and allow the client to feel comfortable.
Sarah graduated from Indiana University South Bend in 2017, with her Masters of Education to practice mental health counseling in the state of Indiana. Throughout her education, Sarah had the opportunity to provide counseling at a grief and loss agency, a temporary housing agency for at-risk teens, and a college campus. Sarah has also gained knowledge from her on-going research and reading to stay up to date on the most effective techniques to best serve her clientele.
