Chelsea earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from New York University and her Master of Arts (MA) degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is currently completing her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis.
Chelsea has had previous clinical experience at a private practice providing individual therapy to clients across the lifespan. Furthermore, Chelsea has psychological assessment experience in a private practice setting working with individuals across the lifespan who present with a range of forensic concerns. In addition, she has spent time as an online hotline response volunteer for people and their families who have experienced sexual abuse and is experienced with risk assessment and de-escalation. Chelsea also has experience working with families of children who have behavioral difficulties and implementing behavioral interventions to assist the family with changing targeted behaviors and handling emotional dysregulation.
Chelsea has a particular interest in helping those who struggle with anxiety, mood disorders, and PTSD, both through therapy and psychological testing. Her clinical work includes an integrated approach that utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and person-centered approaches to be able to treat clients in the here and now as well as help them acquire skills and tools that they can use in the future. Chelsea provides a caring, safe, and comfortable environment to help clients process and experience their emotions and thoughts so they can reach their therapeutic goals.
